Gappy Ranks, one of the leading figures in UK dancehall returns with one of his first singles in years with SF Bay Area producer Kush Arora. "Money Bags" is an introspective look on his journey from childhood to his current home in the UK. He shares hopes of aspirations and vulnerability not often expressed in the genre, all while Arora's wavy Punjabi touch of bashment flows underneath.
Formerly of Greensleeves records, he has charted with hit "Stinking Rich", and been a top UK reggae artist collaborating with everybody from the Kray Twinz, Beres Hammond to Lethal Bizzle. Not to mention his prowness in exploring future sounds in the electronic world, he's been a pioneer and has unmistakable voice and personable touch. Kush produces in the realm of indo carrbiean music, and has recently been featured in the Guardian Uk, Wire, Quietus, Fact Mag, and many more of pioneering cultural sounds.
